I create works that portray my own emotionality. Through painting from memory, I create and combine scenes that allow my subconscious to re-interpret them with automatic influences. I utilize which ever materials I feel best convey the project I am working on and improvise along the way, never knowing what the next step may be. Often a completed painting will become an underpainting, taking on an entire new meaning, using the underlying texture and color as part of the composition.
